Breastfeeding has been shown to protect babies from illness, lower mothers’ risks of certain health problems and improve mother-child bonding. Plus, it’s cheaper than formula!

Rates continue to rise across the country, as 79 percent of infants in the United States have ever breastfed. In Tennessee, that number is 75 percent.
