Here’s a surprising way to prepare peaches for a healthy summertime dessert.

Stone fruits like peaches, plums and nectarines work well on the grill and make a great, guilt-free dessert. You can either leave the skin on the fruit or peel for this grilled peaches recipe.

Ingredients

2 peaches, halved and pitted
1 teaspoon canola or vegetable oil
2 scoops nonfat vanilla frozen yogurt
1 graham cracker, crushed (optional)
Fresh mint leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat grill to high. If cooking indoors, a grill pan will work, also. Brush peach halves with oil and place on grill.

Grill until tender.

Two bowls with grilled peach halves

Place 2 peach halves in two bowls and top each with a scoop of frozen yogurt. Sprinkle crushed graham crackers and a few small mint leaves over the top for garnish if you’d like.
