Recipe: Healthy trail mix for on the go

Trail Mix

Ingredients:

3 cups bite-size shredded wheat
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup almonds
2 cups dried apricots, apples or other dried fruit
3 cups fat‐free popcorn
2 cups pretzels

 

Instructions:

1. Mix all ingredients in large plastic container or bag.

2. Portion into baggies.

 

Nutrition Facts Per Serving: Serving size: 1/16th of recipe.  Calories: 250. Fat: 3.4 grams. Saturated fat: 1.1 grams. Sodium: 424 milligrams. Total carbohydrate: 54 grams. Dietary fiber: 3.5 grams. Protein: 6 grams.
